My name is Savlı Arslan. I am 24 years old, and I am married and I have a one-year-old son. My husband is unable to find work, and I am working to support my child. I am currently living with my husband’s family. I was brought up as an orphan without a father, so my mother worked so hard to provide for my sisters and me. After the war in Syria broke out, we left behind our home and came to Turkey. As my father-in-law is an old, disabled man, I am working because I have to meet the basic needs of my child, such as milk and medication, whilst my mother is also dependent on me.
What gives me hope in life is my little child, and I hope that I can afford to have a home to live with my family.
This work covers the essential needs of my child.
I want to thank Martta for helping us.
